Finnegan

We did a reactive/leash training class as well as a 4 week board and train and it was nothing short of amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Kehaulani as a trainer. My dog used to make his own rules around the house and would not come when called. Now he listens attentively and follows commands. He knows how to stay in place for an extended period of time. He used to terrorize the cats and jump on the kids, but now he and the cats get along great and he is able to control himself around kids. He no longer drags me along during walks and heels perfectly. I can now take him to my son’s baseball games and he will relax easily despite all the kids running around and balls rolling across the field in front of him. Everyone comments on how well behaved my dog is compared to theirs. 😃 The difference Kehau has made with my dog has been life changing.

Rudi & Fritz

We were very nervous about leaving our dogs for the first time while we were traveling. Having a place where we knew they were safe, engaged, had fun and were being loved on was so important to us. Kehau did an amazing job! She kept us up to date on how they were doing and we had peace of mind that our pups were being well cared for while we were away. We’ll definitely be back and I’ll recommend her to anyone else who is in need of pet services! 10/10

Bear

Oh my goodness! Where can I start?! My husband and I got our little Bear at 8 weeks old. From the beginning we knew he was a little different. He was terrified of his kennel, wasn’t very playful, and didn’t like anybody (besides us). Now he is a completely different dog after some training. When we have guests he doesn’t howl and bark, he plays with us, and he will even go in his kennel. We can ask him from anywhere in our place and he will head over there. He even walks without pulling. Even our family has seen a huge difference in his behavior. I don’t think we could thank Kehaulani enough! If you are in need of a good trainer she is your girl!

Motley & Ozzy

My family highly recommends Aloha Pet Services. Our two 7 month old mini Aussie Doodles had many behavioral issues: impulse control while on leash, jumping on guests and not listening to verbal commands, just to name a few. We were seriously in need of guidance. Enter Kehau… what a difference after just few training sessions. The puppies are happier and so are we. Kehau is knowledgeable, fun, kind, and patient. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Roscoe

Where to begin!? I cannot say enough good things about APS! I dropped Roscoe off for a 6 week board and train, and some added service dog work. He had no major problems when I dropped him off, he is still a puppy at 7 months. He is such a well rounded pup now and I notice so many little things that have changed since he has been home. I am disabled so Kehaul started him on tasks that will help me in my day to day life and he got tons of public access work while with her. She made me feel confident and comfortable with the e-collar which is going to be great during hikes and camping for off leash activities. I am excited for our journey ahead and to build on the great foundation that has been laid by Kehaulani! I highly recommend using APS for any of your pups needs!

Brody

This is Brody, he is a 6 year Aussie and he had severe anxiety. I was at a loss with him when it came to getting him to calm down, trust him, and be in the presence of other people. Kehau taught and trained my dog to be the best version of himself. He is the dog I knew he could be and so much more. I’m so happy I made the decision to board and train Brody it has sincerely changed his life and mine. I know how to be a better dog mom and how to create a better environment for a calm dog. I am forever grateful for Kehau and her expertise! Highly recommend her!

Bruno & Zoey

Left our 2 dogs with Kehau for a week while we were gone! The dogs seemed like they really enjoyed it! Bruno and Zoey came home tired and relaxed. I really love the structured environment she provides for the pups while they stay with her. She even bathed them before we picked them up! She posted pictures and kept us updated. Would highly recommend using her for dog sitting or training needs!

Sonny

“I am so grateful we were referred to Kehau! We did the 6 week board and train for our rescue dog who *had* severe anxiety and behavioral issues and we also did 1:1s for our other dog who is generally well behaved but has a few behaviors we wanted to correct. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in training dogs to improve their quality of life. Yes, training makes life better for your dog not just you! But make no mistake, you will be trained too! It has been life changing for us. I wanted to wait several months to write a review, and with every passing week, we have moments of “she gave us our life back!” If you are on the fence, just make the investment! I met several people personally impressed by her and whose dogs benefited so much from her training. I am so glad I followed up when they shared her contact. I admit we were skeptical because of the “horror stories” and stupid stuff that gets put out there about board and trains, ecollars and pinch collars. Not to mention, it’s always hard to leave your baby with a stranger, especially for six weeks, so for anyone in that mindset, I just want to reassure you that your dog will be loved and nurtured through the training process. It is tough love, so it isn’t comfortable for them, but they are rewarded immensely in both the short term and long term. I found high quality resources regarding the positive benefits of ecollars and pinch collars, and Kehau being so patient to answer all of our questions along the way, not to mention the results; to any doubters, just know that high quality training tools in the hands of a skilled trainer are highly beneficial especially for dogs like my Sonny who just, well, was a liability. Any doubt I had about his well-being was smashed when her training assistant showed up after our midpoint meeting and Sonny ran over, sat so perfect and handsome, SO EXCITED to see her, waited so patiently, and with a “break” gave her kisses. I was chopped liver, and though my pride was hurt a little, I knew in that moment that he was so loved even though he was being worked hard. I also loved seeing pictures of him with his new buddy Dennis, knowing that he was now able to “make friends” and be around other dogs without stressing himself into exhaustion, was amazing to see. Crate and muzzle training was life changing. We actually never needed the muzzle. And he is calm and snoozes in his crate when we have company or babysitters, opposed to him previously clawing out doors and weather sealing to shreds when we tried to put him in another room. He snoozes in his crate even when he isn’t kenneled. He can “place” anywhere even during toddler meal times, and if we need him to calm and move, he responds quickly to “out.” Fence fighting…I mean…it’s magic! He used to go out to the crazy neighbor dogs like a cannonball, barking and running aggressively back and forth, wouldn’t stop, had to go out and practically drag him away. Now, occasionally we have to correct, but we can call him off easily now, but the most amazing thing is that’s rare, for the most part he can chill in the yard while the neighbor dogs sit there and bark, bark, bark, bark…bark at him. He is so much less anxious in general, my husband and I have moments of guilt realizing what we thought was just Sonny “personality” was actually just behavior of a super anxious dog. That’s no way to live. His calmness is tangible and it’s obvious he can just enjoy dog stuff now! Kehau also saved my husband’s knees. Sonny was horrible on the leash, but it’s night and day. Instead of being pulled behind him miserably or having to sprint to save your shoulders at the expense of your knees, now it’s relaxing to go on walks. No pulling, and he stays heeled even when noticing rabbits or squirrels. This is a dog who previously chased an elk for 8 hrs through a national forest in a rainstorm before finding his way back to our camp. We can have friends and family over stress free. In short, she gave Sonny another lease on life and got us our life back. We are immensely grateful to her.”
